We are seeking an individual passionate about joining a team manufacturing high-quality laminates and films used in applications such as kitchen and bath cabinetry, countertops, paneling in recreational vehicles, and interior retail space enhancements.

Job Summary

The Intermediate Plant Utility Operator will be trained on multiple jobs within the facility to support vacations, vacancies, and absenteeism. The Utility Operator may fill in for open roles on the production floor as deemed necessary by the Shift Coordinator. These roles include, but are not limited to, mix operator, wind-up operator, mill operator, and plant utility, ensuring that the customer receives 100% quality material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and document forklift and crane inspections
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Stay current on job skills through ongoing training
• Fill in for various roles as needed and qualified, based on requests from the Shift Coordinator
• Tasks may include: cleaning, housekeeping, painting, operating mixers, wind-up, mills, finishing, relief, edge banding, and room operations

Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Complete safety training and skill verification
• Properly fitted Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Work Environment and Conditions

• Frequently position self to use and maintain PPE
• Comfortable working alongside machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to detect, distinguish, or identify sources of smells
• Exposure to chemical processing, unregulated temperatures, and dusty conditions
• No travel required
