You will perform load calculations, select equipment, prepare drawings, and coordinate with multi-discipline teams to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing HVAC systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of NYC and national codes.
• Familiar with FG Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities.
• Excellent communication and multitasking under deadlines.
• EIT license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems including HVAC and building automation.
• Perform system design calculations, load calculations, and some energy modeling.
• Select equipment for building systems.
• Coordinate work with other engineers and architects.
• Prepare contract drawings and specifications.
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients.
• Understand plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm trades and coordination.
