Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an IT Support Technician to install hardware and software on devices and operating systems, document work in the ticket system, and lead IT projects within timeframes. You will maintain SOPs, support AV technology, and create knowledge bases for staff.

Requires strong troubleshooting, imaging skills, and IT security knowledge; healthcare environment experience is preferred. On-site role with full-time schedule and day shifts at the Shawnee Mission, KS facility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in computer/tech field preferred.
• Proficient with Windows/macOS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience imaging devices and managing IT assets.

Responsibilities

• Installs hardware and software on devices and OSes.
• Documents details in internal service ticket system.
• Leads small to mid-size IT projects within timeframes.
• Maintains SOPs for field operations and inventory.
• Supports audio-video tech and creates knowledge bases.
• Performs proficient repairs and collaborates with vendors.

Job Description:

• Installs consumer-based hardware and software on devices and operating systems.
• Provides detailed descriptions within internal service ticket system.
• Follows AIT standards for devices and software.
• Performs preventive maintenance on authorized company devices.
• Leads small to mid-size projects and special initiatives within allotted timeframe.
• Follows and maintains AIT standard operating procedures for field operations.
• Supports audio-video technology with minimal assistance.
• Creates and references centralized AIT Field Operations knowledge bases.
• Performs proficient level repairs for company devices.
• Works with designated information technology vendors for support.
• Provides image builds and/or modifications to Senior or ITSS leadership for validation.
• Provides training and support to relevant staff.
• Recognizes critical roadblocks and escalates to leadership for resolution.
• Contributes to maintaining accurate IT inventory using appropriate tracking management software.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge and experience with various Internet Browsers.

• [Required] Advanced knowledge of mobile devices hardware.

• [Required] Experienced with common peripherals and accessories.
• [Required] In-depth knowledge of IT security best practices.

• [Preferred] Experience working in a highly matrixed, healthcare environment

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Field of Study: in computer or technology related industry.

Work Experience:

• 2+ technical experience in a highly complex, dynamic environment [Required]
• Must have TWO of the following valid IT related certifications:

• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• Cisco CCNA
• ISC2 CC
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified Fundamentals series (Azure Cloud, AI, Data, Security etc.)

Pay Range:

$22.22 - $41.33
