Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intermediate Geochemist for our Lakewood, CO office. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and help solve client challenges focused on environmental geochemistry and CCRs.

This role supports geochemistry projects, conducts site characterizations, analyzes data, performs modeling, prepares reports, and communicates findings to clients. Travel may be required; a bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geochemistry and 1–3 years of

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geochemistry, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a Geochemist or related role.
  • Strong coursework or experience in aqueous chemistry and/or low-temperature geochemistry.
  • Experience with data management and statistical tools (Excel, Python, R).
  • Experience with water quality and geochemical modeling codes such as PHREEQC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for geochemical projects and data analyses.
  • Conduct site characterizations and evaluate geochemical data sets.
  • Perform geochemical modeling and natural attenuation evaluations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for client meetings.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure safety focus.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making and manage project resources.
