Job summary

iDbase Software is seeking a Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React across digital platforms. You will own features from requirements through delivery and contribute to frontend modernization.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of professional software development experience, strong ReactJS skills, and a knack for solving complex UI challenges. Remote-friendly with option for hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

What you’ll do:

Frontend Development and Delivery

Build and maintain frontend applications using React

Develop reusable, maintainable components and features to a high standard

Take a requirement, understand the problem, define an approach and see the work through to completion

Contribute to the frontend rewrite and help move the platform toward a modern, maintainable architecture

Work effectively within an existing, large-scale codebase

Apply a practical approach to solving problems and getting things done

Integration and Technical Problem Solving

Work with APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services

Investigate and resolve technical issues across the application

Work through solutions independently, escalating where appropriate

Learn and contribute to the broader technology stack as the team moves toward a more full-stack approach

Code Quality and Engineering Standards

Write maintainable, testable code that adheres to team standards and design patterns

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Help identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and maintainability

Contribute to establishing and following frontend architecture and component design best practices

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver features

Contribute to knowledge-sharing and technical discussions within the team

Support the team’s strong focus on delivery, collaboration and continuous improvement

Take ownership of your work, ask questions and learn quickly

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Relevant certifications in frontend or web development technologies

Your Expertise:

Around 3--5 years’ professional software development experience

Communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)

Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS

Interpersonal and relationship management skills

Experience working with APIs and backend services

Analytical skills

Experience writing maintainable, testable code within a large-scale codebase

Problem-solving skills

Comfortable working with Git and code review processes

Ability to work independently and take ownership

Java or Spring experience would be an advantage, but is not essential

Willingness to learn and expand backend knowledge over time

Strong understanding of frontend architecture and component design

Understanding of reusable, maintainable component patterns and best practices

Knowledge of integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services

Understanding of version control and code review practices

Awareness of frontend performance, reliability and maintainability considerations

Understanding of modern engineering practices within a delivery-focused team
