Job summary

The University of Michigan Survey Research Center is hiring an Intermediate Financial or Business Analyst to join the SRO Finance Group in Ann Arbor. You will analyze financial data for projects, monitor accounts, and prepare reports to support project managers.

After orientation, a hybrid schedule with at least three on-site days per week may be requested, subject to department approval.

Qualifications

• BA degree in business or finance with 2–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated Excel proficiency (complex functions) and ability to perform financial reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels with varied financial experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis on payroll, HR, revenue and procurement for projects and departments.
• Query and summarize datasets for project managers and monitor project accounts.
• Prepare standard and customized financial reports for managers.
• Maintain project budget data and generate projections based on past data and current scope.
• Assist with account structures, closeouts and archival of financial documents.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and internal controls.
