AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an IT Business Analyst to maintain clinical and business systems that support patient care delivery. You will collaborate with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, and maintain Epic and other systems, documenting workflows and future state processes during new implementations.

Role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and ability to work with hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite and EMR systems required.
• Experience implementing and supporting EMR workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with healthcare focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and learn quickly.

Responsabilités

• Actively participates in meetings; reports status to the manager.
• Designs, builds, and configures within Epic modules and third-party apps.
• Develops relationships with stakeholders; captures business and technical requirements.
• Assesses workflows, identifies gaps, and defines future processes.
• Develops test scripts; performs unit, system, and integration testing.
• Stays current on Epic updates and vendor enhancements.
• Follows standards for configuration control and QA; trains on upgrades.
• Troubleshoots issues; escalates and proposes resolutions.
• Participates in cross-functional projects using lean methodologies.
• Mentors analysts, PMs, and consultants; provides guidance.
• Provides on-call support in 24/7 production environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Responsible for maintaining clinical and business systems to support patient care delivery. This position analyzes business problems and recommends solutions that align with organizational goals. This role collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and other associated systems. In addition, this position coordinates with physicians and end users to document workflows, perform gap analysis, and develop future workflows during new implementations. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff. Responsibilities for this role include system maintenance, problem analysis, solution recommendation, workflow documentation, and effective communication.

• Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager.

• Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications.

• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, capturing business and technical requirements.

• Assesses workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows related to new solutions or functionality.

• Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes.

• Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades work according to Epic specifications.

• Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases.

• Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution.

• Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination procedures, tools, and lean methodologies.

• Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants.

• Provides on-call support in a 24/7 production systems environment, acting as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 5+ in clinical or technical work [Preferred]

Additional Information

An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:

• Associates degree AND 3+ years of experience OR

• High School Grad or Equiv AND 5+ years of relevant experience.

Pay Range

$66,830.40 - $124,300.80
