Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support its SPCC program across US Gas Transmission and Midstream operations, combining field inspections with regulatory compliance and technical guidance. You will prepare SPCC plans, coordinate site visits, migrate plans into SmartPlan, manage consultants, and keep Maximo/Enablon updated.

Applicants should have an engineering degree, PE license, 4+ years SPCC experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in hybrid field/office

Qualifications

  • Requires engineering degree and PE certification; ability to obtain PE license in operating states.
  • Minimum 4 years' SPCC experience and hands-on site inspections.
  • Experience with SPCC regulations and state regs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, update and certify SPCC plans for assets.
  • Coordinate site visits and inspections to ensure SPCC compliance.
  • Migrate SPCC plans into SmartPlan for plan management.
  • Manage third-party consultants needed for SPCC program.
  • Provide guidance on SPCC regulations and relevant state regulations.
  • Update Maximo and Enablon to track compliance tasks and findings.

What You Will Do:
  • Prepare, review,updateandProfessional Engineercertify Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans for all applicable assets.
  • Coordinatesite visitswithappropriate operations personneland conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with SPCC Regulation,identifyingareas for improvement and communicating findings in a clear andactionable manner tooperations.
  • Coordinate themigration of SPCC plans intoSmartPlanand for all SPCC plan management.
  • Retainand manage third partyconsultants' personnel whenrequiredto support SPCC program, including their compliance with Enbridge's safety program requirements.
  • Provide guidance,advice,and interpretation of SPCC regulations, and where applicable,relatedstate regulations.
  • Update internal systems (i.e.,Maximo,Enablon) to ensure compliancetasksand inspection findings are tracked and documented.
Who You Are:
  • Degree inengineering, withProfessional Engineer PE certification and able to obtain license in states within which Enbridge operates.
  • Minimum4years' experience,ideally withhands-onexperience conducting site inspectionsrelated to SPCCcompliance.
  • Exposure to,andunderstanding of,(SPCC regulation and/or related state regulations.
  • Experience utilizingSmartPlanor similar platform for SPCC Plan management is an asset.
  • Experiencewithnatural gas transmission, gathering, production, or distribution is preferred.
  • Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.
Working Conditions:
  • Both office and field environment.
  • Up to30%field work with travel durations ranging from 1 day to 1 week at a time.Exposure to active operating sites often withoutescort /work alone at active facilities.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, walking on uneven/unpaved surfaces,light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:
  • Ranges from $80,500 - $120, 000/year USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
