Job summary

Parallax Architecture And Planning in Culver City, CA is seeking an Intermediate Designer to support planning and design on educational buildings. You will work under project principals, coordinate with consultants, and help resolve code-related issues in a collaborative studio environment.

The ideal candidate holds a B-Arch from a U.S. college, has 3–5 years of institutional project experience, and demonstrates strong Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• B-Arch degree from a U.S. college or university.
• 3–5 years of professional experience developing institutional buildings.
• Working knowledge of Revit for project design and detailing.
• Familiarity with Los Angeles building and zoning codes.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural planning and design concepts for educational buildings under the direction of the Project Principals.
• Support consultant meetings and design presentations.
• Coordinate architectural design and building systems with engineering consultants.
• Support work with City and/or County agencies to resolve code related issues.
• Support the Project Manager throughout the project construction phase by answering design RFI’s and reviewing shop submittals.
