WSP is looking for an Intermediate Construction Materials Engineer to join our team in Charlotte or Asheville, NC. In this role, you'll perform testing and inspections related to soils and concrete on building sites, interact with project teams, and support project management tasks.

WSP’s Construction Materials Team is growing, and we have opportunity for an Intermediate Construction Materials Engineer to support our Charlotte, NC or Asheville, NC location. Perform testing and special inspections related to soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry on general building sites and facilities
Interpret and monitor work procedures as per project plans and specifications for compliance with projects requirements
Interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites
Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations in a timely manner.
Support project management tasks such as scheduling, reports review, budget tracking, invoicing, proposal writing and business development
Collaborating tasks and supporting cross functional teams.
Work in accordance with Company safety policies
Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
1-3+ years of Construction Materials Testing experience
ACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing)
Valid Driver’s License and Good driving History
Reliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
Must pass physical, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
