Job summary

Beyer Blinder Belle in Washington, DC seeks an Intermediate Architectural Designer to contribute to civic, cultural, and adaptive reuse projects. You will work across project phases, producing studies, renderings, and construction documents in Revit while collaborating with multiple disciplines.

Strong Revit and Adobe CS skills, plus experience with existing buildings and renovation, are highly valued. Licensure pursuit is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth across BBB offices.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3-5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Licensure or active pursuit of architectural licensure preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Revit required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required.
• Strong architectural visualization and graphic presentation skills.
• Experience with Enscape, Rhino, or comparable tools preferred.
• Experience with existing buildings, historic preservation, renovation, or adaptive reuse preferred.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination in existing-building conditions is a plus.
• Ability to evaluate and apply design/technical solutions with guidance from seniors.

Responsibilities

• Support projects from conceptual design through construction administration.

• Produce and coordinate drawings and documentation in Revit.
• Assist with documentation and evaluation of existing building conditions.

Beyer Blinder Belle is seeking an enthusiastic Intermediate Architectural Designer to join our Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will contribute to meaningful civic, cultural, institutional, and mixed-use projects involving new construction, historic preservation, and adaptive reuse. We are looking for a collaborative designer with strong design, visualization, and technical skills who is comfortable contributing across multiple project phases. Experience working with existing buildings and complex renovation conditions is strongly preferred. BBB has offices in New York City, Boston, Washington, DC, and Miami. • Familiarity with MEP coordination, particularly within existing-building conditions, is a plus.
• Ability to evaluate and apply appropriate architectural design and technical solutions with guidance from senior team members.
• Strong verbal, written, graphic, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation

BBB offers fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000, with variations based on experience, education, achievements, and business needs. Employees may also receive an annual performance-based bonus and salary increase.
