Job summary

O’Neil Langan Architects in New York City is seeking an intermediate- or advanced-level architect to join our fast-paced retail design team as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. You will drive project development from schematic design through construction, coordinating with senior staff and mentors to refine craft.

Ideal candidates have 4–7 years of architecture experience, strong AutoCAD production skills (Revit a plus), and proven project-management ability leading small teams.

O’Neil Langan Architects is looking for an intermediate- or advanced-level architect (Project Manager or Senior Project Manager) to work with us on exciting new retail projects. OLA is home to a talented, close-knit team that’s passionate about producing excellent retail design, and we’re seeking motivated designers who are excited to grow in this fast-paced field.

As an architect at OLA, you will be deeply involved in project development from schematic design to construction, with significant opportunity for growth. Working closely with senior staff and principals on each new project, you will receive valuable mentorship from veteran architects as you perfect your craft.

This position is an in-office role. Our ideal candidates will be located in New York City or the immediate region, and will be able to work in-office at our Manhattan headquarters. Remote work may be arranged at times if emergency circumstances require it.

High proficiency in AutoCAD (production and understanding of construction documents) and a strong foundation in architectural project management are essential for this role.

Skills & Experience Required

• BArch, MArch or equivalent Interior Design degree
• Approx. 4-7 years of experience working in an architecture or design firm required
• MUST have strong construction document production experience in AutoCAD (Revit also a plus)
• 3+ years of proven architectural project management experience
• Experience leading small teams of junior architects/drafters
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Enscape, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, Sketchup and Vray proficiency a plus
• Ability to confidently manage the major phases of architectural projects with relative independence and minimal supervisor input
• Must have strong, clear communication and presentation skills
• Ability to handle fast-paced projects and deadlines
