Job summary

Pinnacle Solutions in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a skilled Intermediate 3D Artist to contribute to serious games and training simulations. You will model and texture photo-realistic, low-poly mechanical and environmental assets, using source materials and expert guidance from team leads.

The role requires collaboration across art, programming and production, and will use Unity or Unreal engines to deliver high-quality assets for training applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Art, Game Art, Animation, or related field.
• 4+ years of on-the-job experience in 3D art.
• Experience building 3D models, UV unwrapping, and packing UVs in Maya.
• Texture 3D models with PBR workflows using Substance Painter.
• Experience with Unity 3D or Unreal Engine.
• Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Portfolio of game-related or real-time work.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate, photo-realistic low-poly 3D models and textures from source materials.
• Integrate art assets into Unity or Unreal projects.
• Collaborate with artists to maintain a strong 3D pipeline.
• Apply knowledge of materials, lighting, composition, and color theory to assets.
• Work with cross-disciplinary teams to produce training applications.
• Create high-quality platforms (aircraft, vehicles, environments) meeting visual standards.
• Set up scenes in Unity or Unreal and render sequences per storyboard requirements.
