Job summary

McGee Air Services in Los Angeles is hiring an Interline Baggage Ramp Agent for a full-time role in Operations. You will lift, load, and route baggage in outdoor, fast-paced conditions, while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The job requires agility, teamwork, and the ability to meet schedules in a high-activity airport environment. Starting pay is $27.01/hour with benefits or $30.15/hour without benefits, plus additional pay opportunities and standard company benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to pass a physical capability test (SEA and SFO only).
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage from conveyors.
• Deliver passenger luggage to designated locations within time frames.
• Drive and operate ground equipment in congested areas.
• Scan baggage to route to the correct destination.
• Monitor weather and apply safety measures as needed.
• Perform inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Comply with all safety and security requirements.
• Perform other duties to support operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely lift, load,unload,andtransport baggagefromconveyor belts.
• Deliver passenger luggagetodesignatedlocationswithinanallottedtimeframe.
• Safely driveandoperateground equipment,such as tugs, in areas of congestion.
• Operate baggage scanners to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
• Monitor weather conditions and takeappropriate safetymeasures.
• Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Comply withall federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carriersafety andsecurity requirements.
• Performotherduties asassigned to support McGee’s successful business operation.

Qualifications

Required

• A valid driver's license witha good drivingrecord.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Ability to obtain &maintainanairport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance.
• Ability to work any shift, includingearly mornings, late nights,weekendsand Holidays.
• Lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Proficiencyin English (written and spoken).
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat,reach,and grasp.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills withtheability toget alongwith others.
• Ability to work at a constant and quick pace.
• Understanding and ability toutilizeelectronic tools to interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information.
• Performing basic mathematical functions.(e.g., counting bags)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Mustbe authorized towork in the U.S.

Preferred

• Previousexperience working in a physically demandingorsafetycriticaljob.
