Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the interiors and renovation scope of a $15M Veteran Community Living facility in Augusta, ME, comprising two buildings. The role focuses on safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance on a major interior project.

Join a growing Maine-based GC with a strong pipeline within about an hour of Portland. Base salary is up to $135,000, with company vehicle options and the opportunity to own a significant project in a tight-knit team

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction experience, ideally in a Superintendent role.
• Experience with commercial interiors and/or renovation projects.
• Strong communication and leadership with a hands-on field approach.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and daily field operations independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for interior construction and renovation scopes.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, manpower, materials, and site logistics.
• Manage schedules and look-ahead planning to keep work on track.
• Oversee interior finishes, ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.
• Maintain safety, quality, and a clean, organized jobsite.
• Support project closeout, including punch lists and turnover.
