Job summary

HOK in New York, NY seeks an Interiors - Interior Design Professional with a basic but solid foundation in interior design. You will modify and prepare production drawings, update documents, and support project teams across design phases, while incorporating sustainable design principles.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design and 0–4 years’ experience, with LEED credential due within 12 months. A hybrid work environment and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
• May mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff.
• Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
• Builds models for client/project team review.
• Compiles data and performs elementary design computations.
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable practices.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.

Performs basic interior design assignments receiving specific and detailed instruction as to tasks required and results expected. Responsible for working with the project team to assist overall effort of completing various project phases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modifies and prepares production drawings during design development phase.
• Corrects and updates design documents.
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.

• Some overtime may be required.
