Job summary

Tiello partners with an established commercial interiors contractor to hire a Commercial Interiors Estimator. This role focuses on producing accurate and competitive estimates for interior projects, with emphasis on metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, and acoustical ceilings.

Proven experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid is required. You will review plans, perform digital takeoffs, price labor and materials, and collaborate with sales, project management, and field leadership

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial interiors estimating experience.
• Experience with metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings.
• Proficiency with OST and Quick Bid.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of interior construction materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED; construction-related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, addenda, and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform detailed digital takeoffs using OST and develop estimates in Quick Bid.
• Price labor, materials, equipment, production rates, waste, and other project costs.
• Identify scope gaps, conflicts, constructability concerns, and project risks.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Prepare proposals, alternates, exclusions, qualifications, and value-engineering options.
• Manage multiple bids and ensure on-time submissions.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, field leadership, and executives.
• Prepare complete project turnover packages for awarded work.

Position Overview
