Job summary

AlphaGov seeks an experienced Commercial Estimator to develop accurate, competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects from Bentonville, AR. Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
• Commercial interior construction estimating experience is required.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, sequencing, and estimating practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial interior projects, including drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related finishes.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, field teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain estimating databases, bid logs, and project documentation.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to develop accurate, competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects.

This role will manage the full estimating process from bid invitation through project handoff, with a primary focus on drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, and related interior finishes. The ideal candidate has strong commercial interior construction estimating experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial interior projects, including drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related finishes
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, constructability concerns, project risks, and value-engineering opportunities
• Prepare complete bid proposals, scope clarifications, pricing summaries, exclusions, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with Project Managers, field teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process
• Maintain estimating databases, historical pricing, bid logs, and project documentation
• Support project handoff by providing estimate breakdowns, budgets, assumptions, scope clarifications, and pricing details
• Monitor material pricing, labor costs, and market conditions to maintain accurate and competitive estimates
• Participate in post-bid reviews and identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and processes
• Assist with negotiated bids, conceptual budgets, change-order pricing, and other estimating needs

Requirements

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades
• Commercial interior construction estimating experience is required
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, sequencing, and estimating practices
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents
• Proven experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and developing complete bid proposals
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar platforms
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple bids, priorities, and deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
