Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Design Release Engineer to own the engineering, design, development, validation, timing and production release of the Instrument Panel system. The engineer will have end-to-end ownership of their components and ensure they meet vehicle functional objectives.

The role encompasses design release activities, DVPR testing, BOM management, and close collaboration with production teams to support prototype and production builds, weight and cost reduction

Qualifications

• Experience in design release engineering for automotive components.
• Strong experience with DVPR testing, change control and BOM maintenance.
• Ability to support prototype and production builds and root cause analysis.

• Component design, development, and packaging;
• Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing;
• Change management; bill of material maintenance;
• Prototype and production build support;
• Issues management;
• CAD model management in Teamcenter;
• Weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives;
• Communicating technical product status to management.

Additionally, supporting vehicle assembly plants for any product technical issues, support service teams for any field warranty issues and help in root cause analysis of the failures
