POSITION SUMMARY: Here at Nemacolin, our associates know to “Expect the Unexpected” – You have come across a career opportunity where entertainment and excitement are the job description. This position is committed to making every experience memorable while having fun and relishing the incredible atmosphere of the resort.

As a member of the Horticulture and Grounds Maintenance team, Interior Plant Tech I will help create and maintain interior plant displays with the Horticulture staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside. The property is the first thing our guests see; therefore, it is necessary that the first impression sets the stage for the enjoyment of our guests.

Essential Functions
  • Able and willing to perform any task necessary for the maintenance of the resort grounds.
  • Drives and operates golf carts, trucks, mowers, transports materials and supplies around the property.
  • Maintain plants indoors in a formal hotel environment.
  • Assist with interior horticulture installations and maintenance.
  • Communicate with the supervisor regarding the resort's interior plant material issues.
  • Use and maintain all hand tools necessary for plant maintenance.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties and follow specific instructions.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the allotted time.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to staff and guest inquiries or needs.
  • Ability to work efficiently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and reach in odd directions.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Able to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

These skills are typically acquired through a high school diploma or experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
