Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is hiring an Interior Design Release Engineer for instrument panel systems. You will own design, development, and release activities across concept, packaging, validation, and launch, ensuring integration with HVAC, electronics, and safety systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of IP design/assembly experience, proficiency in NX/CATIA/SolidWorks, and Teamcenter, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automotive Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience with instrument panel design, structure, or integration.
• Knowledge of GD&T, FMVSS regulations, and airbag packaging requirements.
• Proficiency in NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks and PLM (Teamcenter).
• Experience leading suppliers and managing cross-functional deliverables.
• Strong analytical, communication, and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews for instrument panel systems to meet specs and safety targets.
• Develop DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, boundary diagrams, and interface matrices.
• Support integration of HVAC ducts, wiring, airbags, and infotainment within IP.
• Manage CAD model and drawing integrity in NX and Teamcenter.
• Support validation, testing, and plant builds; resolve issues through structured problem-solving.
• Ensure regulatory, ergonomic, and safety standards compliance.
• Track program deliverables and report progress to leadership.
• Apply lessons learned to improve IP quality and manufacturability.
