The compensation range for this role is $31.06 - $36.24 per hour.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience in installation, fabrication, or related fields. Aerospace industry experience is preferred.

Position Purpose: The Interior Installation Technician Senior works under limited supervision to remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, including items such as trim, carpet, soundproofing, cabinetry, panels, and accessories. All work must meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations. The role also involves mentoring and training other technicians.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and fabrication, including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels.
2. Coordinate with supervision and inspection teams to ensure compliance with procedures, paperwork, sign-offs, and quality standards.
3. Mentor and review work of other technicians to ensure quality control.
4. Accept lead responsibilities, oversee projects, and assess requirements for materials and documentation.
5. Use the material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, and work sign-off.
6. Follow SOPs when using tools and equipment; maintain and care for tools and shop equipment.
7. Prepare and install interior items according to procedures and standards.
8. Remove and reinstall fasteners like nut plates and hardware, applying proper hardware use techniques.
9. Adhere to safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use PPE as required; address unsafe conditions.
10. Assist with aircraft maintenance as needed.
11. Coordinate with other departments and adapt to schedule changes.

Additional Functions:

1. Work with team leads to develop process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.
2. Create simple patterns for internal use following standard procedures.
3. Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight tests if required.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools used in interior installation/removal.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft interior installation and fabrication processes, including working with composite panels and various materials.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
