Job summary

Carter Custom Millwork, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking an interior door assembler to support high-volume production in Ohio. You will review work orders, gather materials, and set up equipment to assemble doors per specifications.

You will cut components, prep hinges and locks, and fasten jambs, stops, and casings using power, air, and hand tools. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and teamwork in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience using a variety of tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• General carpentry skills are preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitious work at a fast pace while standing for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Review each work order and ensure proper materials are available.
• Set up necessary equipment and material to assemble interior doors according to the order.
• Cut components accurately and prep hinges/locks.
• Fasten jambs, stops, and casings.
• Use assembly equipment, power, air, and hand tools to complete orders.
• Finish orders accurately and on schedule.

Description

Under minimal supervision, you will review each work order and ensure proper materials are available. You will then set up the necessary equipment and material to assemble interior doors according to the order. This includes cutting components accurately, hinge/lockset prep, and fastenings jambs, stops, and casings. Various assembly equipment is used as well as power, air, and hand tools. The goal is to complete orders accurately and according to the schedule.
