Job summary

HGA is seeking an Interior Designer in Minneapolis to join our collaborative design team. The role requires 3+ days in the office weekly and focuses on workplace, higher education, and healthcare projects across multiple market sectors.

You will work with Interior Designers, Project Architects, and Project Managers to develop innovative, technically sound design solutions from concept through documentation, ensuring high-quality client service and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design/Interior Architecture program or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience working on small- to large-scale project types.
• Experience with TI and core and shell.
• Strong graphic skills.
• Revit knowledge and experience required.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other industry accepted software as well as expertise with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite products is needed.
• Ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction documents and ensure design intent is accurately carried through.
• Translate complex project goals into creative and functional design solutions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate architectural and engineering systems.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Partner to meet critical project milestones and deadlines maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
• Develop a design and building performance strategy and convey to team members.
• Coordinate the project’s technical design effort and documentation across all phases.
• Lead coordination with consultants to ensure integrated design deliveries.
• Review shop drawings and Construction Documents for conformance with design.
