Job summary

Gensler is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to craft functionally beautiful spaces for clients in the Kansas City area. You will lead design teams, blend creativity with business strategy, and guide projects from programming through documentation and construction administration.

You will collaborate with colleagues to elevate design quality, nurture talent, and grow client relationships in global markets. This in-person role emphasizes design excellence and practical delivery.

Qualifications

NCIDQ or RID Certification required
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program
5+ years of interior design experience
Strong proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
LEED Accreditation a plus

Responsibilities

Perform interior design assignments from programming client needs to construction documentation
Select and present FF&E, color palettes, fabrics, lighting
Create initial concept packages with a strong design story
Conduct space planning studies to meet client goals
Sculpt interior spaces as holistic experiences with finishes/materials
Lead day-to-day project coordination with clients and consultants
Communicate design ideas through 2D/3D drawings
Collaborate with consultants, contractors, fabricators and regulators
Participate in construction administration including submittals and value engineering
