We're looking to add an experienced Interior Designer to the team in our Evansville, IN, office. We are looking for someone excited about the possibilities ahead as we grow. Hafer's team of architects, engineers, planners and interior designers thrives on working together to create holistic designs for our workplace, education, community and healthcare clients.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1. Strong knowledge and skill in conceptualization, schematic design, and design development
2. Experience with preparing probable cost summaries for interiors work
3. Researching, selecting, and specifying materials and finishes
4. Developing design documents and renderings using Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
5. Preparing and assembling furniture bid packages
6. Collaborating with team members and consultants to deliver projects
7. Presenting design concepts and material selections to clients
8. Participating in client meetings and maintaining ongoing relationships
9. Contributing to sustainable design initiatives if applicable

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, space planning, or related field from an accredited school
2. 1-5 years’ experience in commercial interior design or interior architecture
3. Proficient knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
4. Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
5. Skilled in researching, selecting, and specifying material and finishes and specification writing
6. Familiar with furniture selection and assembling furniture bid packages
7. Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED/WELL AP (desired, but not required)
8. Willingness to learn software programs necessary to convey design intent
9. Possesses a positive attitude
10. Is self-motivated and can work on multiple design projects at one time
11. Able to work as part of a team without direct daily supervision
12. Enjoys design research, excels at problem solving, and seeks to improve their skills
13. Ability to establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
