Location: Remote (East Coast Time Zone; Northeast strongly preferred)

Job Type: Full-Time

Kay-Twelve is seeking a talented and driven Interior Designer who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and the opportunity to bring dynamic educational spaces to life. If you're someone who sees every project as an opportunity to push boundaries and deliver impactful environments that improve learning outcomes, then we want you on our team.

As part of our growing design department, you’ll join a fast-paced and passionate group dedicated to transforming schools and student experiences through thoughtful, modern design. With a current concentration of projects in Pennsylvania and the Northeast, we’re especially interested in candidates living in or near this region.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate directly with Education Market Leaders and Project Managers to support client engagement and approvals
  • Design flexible, future-ready learning environments that align with school and district visions
  • Lead and participate in live design sessions with school administrators, architects, and design partners
  • Develop and present 2D/3D renderings, animations, fly-through videos, and color boards
  • Translate architectural plans and client input into visually compelling and highly functional furniture layouts
  • Help drive the selection of final finishes and materials to support both function and aesthetic
  • Travel occasionally as needed to participate in on-site meetings or walkthroughs (particularly within the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions)

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of professional experience in commercial or educational interior design, preferably with CET software expertise
  • Strong background in working with construction documents, design drawings, and vendor specifications
  • Proficiency with tools such as CET, Enscape, SketchUp, Revit, and/or other CAD-based software
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects with varying timelines while meeting high-quality standards
  • A collaborative spirit with a proactive approach and a strong attention to detail
  • Passion for creating educational environments that make a difference

Preferred Location & Schedule

  • Must live in the Eastern Time Zone
  • Strong preference for candidates based in the Northeast region (e.g., Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and New Jersey)
  • Remote position with flexible work arrangements, with some regional travel as needed
