Job summary

Baskervill is seeking an Interior Designer/Architect for our Orlando Workplace Studio. The role offers integration into a multidisciplinary team and involvement across all design phases.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10+ years in interior design or architecture, with strong Revit and MS Office skills and licensure progress. Travel is possible, and we emphasize collaboration, mentorship, and client-centered design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or architecture.
• 8–10+ years of interior design or architecture experience, ideally workplace projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office is required.
• Professional licensure or working towards licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with team members and manage all phases of design and production for the Workplace team.
• Guide and mentor staff in review of technical and code matters.
• Engage on diverse projects from small to large and develop cohesive design solutions.
• Participate in client presentations, design meetings and project discussions to translate ideas into design direction.
• Perform quality control reviews of drawings, documentation and deliverables for accuracy and consistency.

Our Orlando office has an opening for an Interior Designer/Architect to join our Workplace Studio, offering the opportunity to be an integrated and active member of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and collaborate with team members and manage all phases of design and production work for the Workplace team
• Guide and mentor staff in the review of technical and code matters
• Engage on diverse projects ranging from small to large
• Work closely with the team and its consultants to develop cohesive design solutions
• Participate in client presentations, design meetings, and project discussions, helping translate ideas into clear design direction.
• Perform quality control reviews of drawings, documentation, and project deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with design intent and project standards
• Participate in site visits, construction administration and review of submittals and finish samples
• Communicate effectively with fellow team members and consultants across offices
• Maintain a strong understanding of workplace trends, materials, products, technology, and emerging design strategies
• Creatively and eloquently present design concepts and ideas
• Bring a hands-on, collaborative approach—working alongside the team rather than simply managing from the sidelines

About you:

A great match for our team is someone who has:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or architecture,
• 8-10+ years of interior design or architecture experience, ideally experience in workplace project types
• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office required
• Professional licensure or working towards licensure
• Knowledge of building codes and standards
• An exceptionally positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to occasionally travel, as there may be limited travel required.
• Excellent communication skills, fostering a culture of mentorship and apprenticeship within the team
• Working knowledge and understands the implications of how the design of a project affects BOMA or other square footage calculations
