Job summary

CHIOCO, a design-focused architectural and interiors studio, seeks an experienced Interior Designer with 3–6 years of professional experience to join our collaborative team in Austin. You will lead projects from concept through construction and work closely with partners and team members on design and documentation.

Please note this is an in-office role with no remote or hybrid options currently available. The ideal candidate contributes creatively and technically across typologies.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience leading interior design projects from concept to completion.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation tools.
  • Familiarity with materials, detailing, and furniture/lighting specification.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • NCIDQ certification and/or Texas registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and documentation of interior projects across multiple typologies (commercial, hospitality, retail and residential).
  • Develop and present design concepts, material palettes, and FF&E selections.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors throughout all phases of a project.
  • Participate in construction administration and site observation
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and design excellence

Our firm’s work ranges from the intimacy of private residences to the massive scale of industrial adaptive reuse. We Are Seeking

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer with 3-6 years of professional experience to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading projects from concept through construction. You’ll work closely with partners and team members on all phases of design and documentation, contributing both creatively and technically to projects that range in scale and typology.

Please note that we are an in-office design studio. No remote or hybrid positions are currently available.
