Job summary

The Building People seeks an experienced Interior Designer to lead space planning, furniture layouts, and complex renovation projects for workplace environments. You will develop design intent drawings, prepare comprehensive documentation, and align with accessibility and life-safety standards.

Applicants should have a strong portfolio, 5+ years in related roles, and proficiency with Archibus, AutoCAD, and CAP Studio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar full-time position.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Archibus, AutoCAD, and CAP Studio.
  • Experience with Archibus and CAP Studio is required.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture systems and workplace design standards.
  • Experience preparing construction and renovation design drawings.
  • Knowledge of ADA, ABA, NFPA, AIA, ANSI, and GSA standards.
  • Portfolio demonstrating space planning and interior design projects.

Job description

The Interior Designer provides workplace design, furniture planning, renovation design, and space optimization services. The role supports office planning, furniture specification development, construction and renovation projects, and workplace modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop interior space plans and furniture layouts.
  • Design office spaces, conference rooms, collaboration areas, and support spaces.
