Description
CPH is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic and collaborative team at our Orlando-Colonial Office! This position is open to a Mid-level or Senior-level Interior Designer seeking a great opportunity to work on all major interior projects at CPH.
Depending on the level of candidate identified, the Designer will assist or oversee and execute all phases of interior projects, ensuring that design goals are met, client expectations are exceeded, and timelines and budgets are maintained. This role demands a high level of expertise in managing various projects, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The Designer works collaboratively with teams to deliver innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead or assist the management and execution of interior design projects from start to finish, ensuring they align with the intended design vision and meet client expectations.
- Create and present detailed interior designs, plans, and construction documents using Revit.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless project coordination and execution.
- Conduct research and analysis to interpret codes, zoning laws, and client requirements for compliance.
- Implement and maintain design standards, including Revit templates, and protocols.
- Prepare accurate specifications and review drawings to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Update designs to meet client needs and project requirements.
- Perform building site inspections, measurements, and construction observations, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Compile and manage cross-disciplinary construction plans, coordinating submissions to relevant regulatory agencies.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to team growth through guidance and feedback.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills, and ability to maintain schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Experience in Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, Retail, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, and Office projects is a plus.
- Strong adaptability and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet project deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, quality-conscious, and self-motivated.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Assist with administrative duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- 5+ / 8+ years of experience in architecture, with a focus on quality control, project management, and leadership.
