Position Summary: The Interior Designer is responsible for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and client-focused interior spaces that align with project goals, brand standards, and budget requirements. This role collaborates closely with clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal team members to develop innovative design solutions from concept through project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Project Development
- Develop creative design concepts, space plans, and interior solutions that meet client objectives.
- Prepare design presentations including mood boards, finish selections, furniture plans, renderings, and material specifications.
- Produce detailed drawings, construction documents, and specifications using Revit/AutoCAD/2020.
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, lighting, artwork, and accessories.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards.
Client Management
- Meet with clients to assess needs, preferences, project scope, and budget requirements.
- Present design concepts and recommendations effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain ongoing communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage client expectations while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Project Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget targets.
- Conduct site visits, field measurements, and project inspections.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and installations for design accuracy.
- Resolve design and construction-related issues as they arise.
- Source products, materials, and furnishings from vendors and manufacturers.
- Prepare specifications and procurement documents.
- Coordinate ordering, tracking, delivery, and installation schedules.
- Oversee final installations and project punch lists to ensure quality standards are met.
Business Development & Sales Report
- Assist in generating new business opportunities through networking and client referrals.
- Participate in project proposals, presentations, and sales meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and emerging design technologies.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field required.
- NCIDQ certification preferred.
Experience
- 3-7+ years of professional interior design experience preferred.
- Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or luxury design environments.
- Proven track record managing projects from concept through completion.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, 2020 and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of furniture specifications, finish materials, and construction processes.
- Understanding of building codes and accessibility standards.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to job sites, client meetings, and vendor showrooms.
