GBBN Architects in Cincinnati is seeking an emergent Interior Designer to join our team. You will contribute to the design, development, and documentation of architectural and interior projects across markets, collaborating with project architects and designers to craft thoughtful, human-centered spaces.

You will support all phases of design, translate ideas into well-crafted spaces, and participate in environmental graphics projects, including wayfinding and signage.

Qualifications

  • Professional Interior Design degree from an accredited university.
  • 0–5 years of professional experience in interior and architectural projects.
  • Strong spatial thinking and human-centered design awareness.
  • Creative mindset with willingness to explore, test, and evolve ideas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of architectural and interior projects.
  • Create drawings, models, and presentations in tools like Revit, Rhino, and Affinity.
  • Contribute to design concepts, documentation, and client presentations.
  • Research materials, precedents, and sustainable solutions.
  • Develop strong visual and verbal communication of ideas through sketches and models.
  • Build and iterate design concepts in 3D using modeling and visualization software.
  • Assist with drawing sets, permitting activities, and client presentation materials.
  • Support Environmental Graphic Design projects, including wayfinding, signage systems, branded environments, and experiential graphics.

Requirements:
What we’re looking for:
  • Professional Interior Design degree from an accredited university
  • 0–5 years of professional experience working on a variety of project types
  • Strong spatial thinking and awareness of human-centered design
  • Creative mindset with the ability to explore, test, and evolve ideas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Curious, eager to learn, and open to feedback
  • Thoughtful, analytical, and comfortable asking questions and considering different perspectives
