Job summary

Peacock Partnership is seeking an experienced Interior Designer focused on healthcare interiors to join our Atlanta team. You will collaborate with architects, planners, and project managers to develop functional, aesthetically cohesive environments, handling space planning, design concepts, and documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating FF&E, supporting construction documentation, and ensuring code compliance while meeting client standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of interior design experience, healthcare or commercial interiors preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong visual, written and verbal communication skills; ability to present concepts clearly.
  • Experience preparing Construction Drawings and coordinating with design/construction teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on-site in a multidisciplinary environment.

Role Description

The Interior Designer will work on healthcare-focused interior projects, collaborating with architects, planners, and project managers to develop functional and aesthetically cohesive environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, interior design concepts, material and finish selection, and preparation of Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documents, and presentations that align with project requirements and client standards. The role involves coordinating FF&E, supporting construction documentation, and assisting in project coordination throughout design and implementation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA, requiring close collaboration with the local team and regular interaction with clients and consultants.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including finishes, furniture, and fixtures appropriate for healthcare environments.
  • Proficiency in Space Planning and Architecture-related coordination to create efficient, code-compliant layouts.
  • Experience preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings and other technical documentation for design and construction teams.
  • Working knowledge of and proficiency in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and standard office software.
  • Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts to internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in an on-site, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; professional licensure or NCIDQ certification is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare or commercial interiors, familiarity with healthcare regulations and best practices is beneficial.
