Job summary

Urban Natural Home is seeking an Interior Design Sales Consultant for our Montclair showroom. You will build client relationships, close high-volume sales, and manage projects from prospecting to closure using Shopify and CRM tools.

We value organized, detail-oriented professionals who communicate clearly with customers and vendors, and who are comfortable working full-time in our Montclair, NJ showroom, including weekends with a flex weekend off each month.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of interior design experience in home furnishings or design firm
• Strong client relationship building with high sales closure
• Experience managing client projects from prospecting to close
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and partners
• Comfort using Shopify, Shopify POS and CRM tools
• Familiar with SOPs and showroom environment
• Able to work full-time in Montclair showroom, weekends required, flex one weekend off per month

Responsibilities

• Sell interior design solutions to clients in showroom and online channels
• Manage client projects from start to finish, including prospecting and status updates
• Prepare accurate purchase orders and coordinate with vendors
• Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve issues and claims
• Maintain professional client relationships and written communication

We are a growing company seeking a resourceful and dedicated individual to fill the role of Interior Design Sales Consultant.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Interior Design role in home furnishings setting or design firm. Existing trade relationships are a plus but not required.
• Highly motivated, organized, detail oriented and consistently resourceful
• Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and a close a high volume of sales
• Experience managing client projects from start to finish, including but not limited to: prospecting, relationship building, closing, regular communication and status updates, writing accurate purchase orders, and assisting with claims or issues that arise.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills when interacting with customers and vendor partners
• Kindness and patience
• Must be very comfortable leveraging technology to support our business needs - Experience using Shopify, Shopify POS, Gorgias/Zendesk or similar CRM, Canva, Google Suite, Google Meet, Room Planner or equivalent.
• Ability to leverage and adhere to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Available to work in our Montclair, NJ showroom full time, 5 days per week. Weekends required. Flex schedule for 1 weekend off each month.
