Job summary

HGA in San Jose, CA is seeking a Project Coordinator for its Interior Design team. You will partner with Project Architects, Designers and Managers to shape design solutions and develop detailed documentation on ambitious projects.

The role requires a degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture, 5–7 years of experience, Revit/AutoCAD knowledge, strong graphics, and travel to job sites. Competitive salary and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Interior Design/Interior Architecture program or related field
• 5 to 7 years of experience on small- to large-scale projects
• Experience with TI and core and shell
• Strong graphic skills
• Revit knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other industry software; proficiency with MS Office
• Ability to travel to job sites

Responsibilities

• Partner on the development of construction documents and ensure design intent is accurately carried through
• Translate complex project goals into creative and functional design solutions
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate architectural and engineering systems
• Participate in client meetings and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Meet project milestones with high attention to detail and quality
• Develop design philosophy understanding and provide input on design/build performance strategy
• Support development of construction documents and coordinate with Project Architect, Senior Designer and Project Manager
• Collaborate with consultants to ensure coordinated deliverables
• Contribute to design documents and lead detailed development of construction documents
• Advance drawings and specifications in line with scope, schedule and cost
• Review documents for code compliance
• Maintain awareness of building technology
• Review shop drawings and construction documents for conformance
• Perform construction administration duties
• Maintain client/consultant contact during all phases including presentations
