Anderson University, in partnership with the School of Interior Design, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Interior Design, beginning Fall 2027. The appointment emphasizes the integration of faith and learning within studio and lecture settings.

Qualified candidates will hold a terminal degree in Interior Design (MFA/PhD) or equivalent (MArch), NCIDQ certification preferred, and university teaching or professional practice

Qualifications

• Student-centered teaching approach.
• Technologically proficient and collaborative.
• NCIDQ certification preferred; terminal degree in Interior Design (MFA/PhD) or related (MArch).
• Teaching at university level and/or professional practice in Interior Design (3 years).
• Active professional membership in IDEC, ASID, IIDA, or AIA.
• LEED-AP or Well-AP certifications and other registrations/licensures.
• CIDA accreditation experience and NASAD.
• Engagement in creative scholarship, publications or exhibitions.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower and upper-level studio and lecture courses.
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, REVIT, SketchUp Pro, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Enscape.
• Participate in curriculum development.
• Conduct student advisement, recruitment, and retention.
• Participate in school and university committees.
• Support student chapters of ASID, IIDA, or other organizations.
• Engage in creative scholarship or publications.
