Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in St. Louis (Richmond Heights) seeks an Interior Design Intern to support designers on exciting projects and learn real-world skills. You will help with space planning, floor plans, elevations, and finish selections while collaborating with the team.

The role offers an hourly wage with potential overtime, a housing stipend, and structured internship reviews. This is a platform to grow toward a full-time design position after graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Architectural Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Previous Internship or Coop experience preferred.
• Internship or classwork experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape and Photoshop preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with space planning to enhance function, safety, and aesthetics of interior.
• Generate interior architectural floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and details for permit and construction documents.
• Incorporate material specifications and schedules related to architectural documents for bidding and final specs.
• Update material library and meet with product manufacturers’ representatives.
• Prepare presentation materials including colored plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and finish palettes.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other design disciplines through all project phases.
• Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout, and furnishings or equipment.
• Review product submittals related to interior finishes.
