Job summary

Edgewood Properties is seeking an Interior Design Drafter to support senior designers across all project phases, from concept through construction. The role emphasizes technical drafting and creative collaboration within a high-quality portfolio of luxury residential spaces.

The candidate will develop space plans, RCPs, and elevations, maintain drawing revisions, and coordinate with vendors and construction teams to preserve design intent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program.
• 3+ years of related interior design drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical drawings including space plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), electrical plans, and concept elevations.
• Maintain all drawing revisions and resubmit updated sets based on redlines in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review and respond to RFIs and shop drawings, ensuring design intent is preserved through the construction process.
• Collaborate with senior staff to document and convey design requirements to the broader design and construction team.
• Create and develop digital and physical presentation boards and layouts for internal and client review.
• Develop base 3D models to support the overall design concept in early project phases.
• Support Design and Pre-Construction/Bidding phases, including product and vendor selection.
• Work with designers, architects, vendors, and construction teams across all project phases in a highly integrated team environment.

We're currently seeking an Interior Designer Drafter

Position Summary

Edgewood Properties' Design Team has built a reputation for creating exceptional amenity spaces across our luxury residential portfolio - environments that deliver a genuine hotel living experience. The work is visible, it's high-quality, and it ranges from model homes and corporate suites to resort-style pools, state-of-the-art fitness centers, and game rooms.

We're looking for an Interior Design Drafter who brings both technical skill and creative curiosity to the work. This role supports senior designers and architects across all project phases - from early concept through construction - and is a real opportunity to develop your craft inside a collaborative team that takes pride in what it produces. The best candidates here don't just execute tasks; they ask smart questions, flag issues early, and help make the work better.

• Develop technical drawings including space plans, floor covering plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), electrical plans, and concept elevations.
• Maintain all drawing revisions and resubmit updated sets based on redlines in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review and respond to RFIs and shop drawings, ensuring design intent is preserved through the construction process.
• Effectively receive and act on direction from senior staff to document and convey design requirements and solutions to the broader design and construction team.
• Help create and develop digital and physical presentation boards and layouts for internal and client review.
• Develop base 3D models to support and communicate the overall design concept during early project phases.
• Contribute to conveying and maintaining design intent through Design and Pre-Construction/Bidding phases, including supporting product and vendor selection.
• Work closely with designers, architects, vendors, and construction teams across all project phases in a highly integrated team environment.
• Proactively identify roadblocks, ask questions, and bring forward suggestions - a culture of continuous improvement is expected and encouraged here.
• Collaborate effectively with internal resources, remote teams, and vendor partners to keep projects moving forward.

qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program.
• 3+ years of related interior design drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• 1-2 years of experience in multifamily residential or hospitality interiors.
• Construction knowledge and understanding of how design decisions affect the build process.
• Strong millwork detailing knowledge.
