Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, a HealthTrust subsidiary, seeks an Interim Leader of Surgical Services in Houston. The role directs surgical service functions on a temporary basis and assumes director duties as defined by the facility.

You will lead 24/7 operations, participate in budgeting and policy reviews, and partner with OR leadership to manage staffing and quality initiatives. Licensure in the placement state is required with CNOR/CSSM preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field is required; Master’s preferred.
• Past experience as a Surgical Services Manager/Director is expected.
• Licensure in the state of placement is required; Compact Licensure preferred with ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• CNOR or CSSM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the 24-hour, seven day a week functions of the assigned Surgery and related Departments as assigned.
• Reviews and updates goals, policies, and procedures as needed; prepares operating budgets as required; participates in multidisciplinary QI teams; consults with staff, physicians and other departments; interacts with patients as appropriate.
• Manages staffing patterns with support from OR Manager, Assistant Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses and House Supervisors as appropriate in the OR to which they are assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
