Job summary

Sugared + Bronzed is seeking a Store Director in the New York City area (Chelsea, NYC Metro) to lead daily client experiences and drive team performance. You will train and develop staff, manage scheduling and inventory, and ensure high standards of service and store operations.

The role emphasizes team leadership, hands-on service, and creating a warm environment for clients and Team Members with opportunities for growth and performance-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Passion for beauty industry and esthetics/cosmo experience preferred.

• Prior management experience in retail or salon settings.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and execute new operational initiatives in the store.
• Interview and hire Team Members to S+B standards.
• Supervise service delivery including tanning and sugaring.
• Monitor store utilization, labor trends, and staffing needs.
• Provide feedback and develop Team Members; build talent bench.
• Create weekly employee schedules.
• Maintain a warm, friendly environment for staff and clients.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization per standards and state regulations.
• Work shifts alongside the team providing services as needed.
• Participate in and share wins on weekly management calls.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Store Directors are the heart of the client experience through daily client interaction, thorough Team Member training, and excellent service. They find passion in the continual training and development of their employees- and ensure each and every client leaves with a smile on their face. Store Directors balance inventory management, scheduling, administrative duties, team development, and training to create a warm environment for both Team Members and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively communicating and executing new operational initiatives in your store.
• Interviewing + hiring new Team Members to S+B standards.
• Working alongside your Team Members in taking services via tanning or sugaring.
• Responsible for store level utilization- monitoring demand + labor trends and staffing accordingly.
• Developing + providing feedback to all Team Members to further grow and build a talent bench
• Creating a weekly employee schedule.
• Creating a warm, fun + friendly environment for all Team Members and clients.
• Meeting company and State Board standards on store cleanliness, and organization.
• Working shifts alongside the team by spraying or sugaring clients (depending on your designated service).
• Participating in, providing feedback and sharing wins on our weekly management call.

REQUIREMENTS

• A passion for the beauty industry (esthetics/cosmo experience preferred, but not required).
• An interest in growing with S+B.
• A positive attitude that cultivates a great work environment for all.
• Open + flexible (full time) availability.
• Prior Management experience in a retail or salon environment.

The pay range for this role is:

65,000 - 75,000 USD per year (NY - NYC Metro - Chelsea)
