Channing House in Palo Alto, CA, seeks an Interim Administrator to lead resident-facing services across independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. Reporting to the COO, you will ensure regulatory compliance, staffing, and program development, guiding transitions between levels of living with clarity and compassion.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, budget oversight, and a culture of integrity and teamwork in a not-for-profit aging services community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, gerontology, social services, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for senior leadership roles.
• Active California NHA license and RCFE Administrator certificate required.
• Experience in senior living or healthcare leadership.
• CMS, Title 22 and RCFE regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and budgets of Health Services and Wellness Services.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all levels of living (SNF, RCFE, IL, memory care).
• Lead strategic planning, campus expansion, service development and resident experience initiatives.
• Supervise Health Services, Wellness, Life Enrichment and other departments; drive teamwork.
• Act as Incident Commander during emergencies and uphold safety standards.
