Qualifications

• Extensive public sector procurement experience.
• Experience procuring school/public transport contracts is ideal.
• Strong knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and Procurement Act 2023.
• Experience with NEC contract forms and e-tendering platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for school and public transport contracts.
• Ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and local authority procedures.
• Prepare tender documents and manage supplier engagement through award stage.
• Provide procurement advice on strategy, compliance and risk to stakeholders.
• Support development of procurement frameworks and DPS across the service.
• Maintain procurement records for audit and governance.
• Build relationships with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple procurement projects with tight timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement practices.
