Under the leadership of the new CEO, the company is working to build a democratized, merit-based organization. Brad was hired to lead the team based on the excellent work and collaborative culture he built at AmWell. As Brad is building his team, this role, like the Employment Counsel role released yesterday, has the strong possibility of expanding into a longer, more diverse role. Similarly, Brad is very connected in the health tech space and prides himself on providing mentorship and references to those in this space. Compensation Pay Rate: $100-$110 Bill Rates: $210-$225 Expected Hours/Duration Duration: 1 month with VERY strong possibility to extend Hours per week: full time Job Summary (please also see Send PD) Working at the direction and discretion of Brad Gay, the Interim Privacy Counsel, shall serve as the Client’s subject matter expert on data privacy and security, telemedicine, mobile health applications, electronic health records, artificial intelligence, medical device, and other compliance related regulations. The candidate’s daily responsibilities will include: (1) maintaining all privacy registrations; (2) negotiating and drafting myriad commercial agreements to address privacy concerns; (3) providing strategic tactical advice in connection with the client’s data security; (4) tracking ongoing legislative initiatives that could impact the client’s product portfolio and advising the product management and engineering executives on the same; (5) partnering with the client’s procurement team to review vendor onboarding from a privacy perspective and to support the development and negotiation of supplier and partner privacy agreements; (6)Drafting and updating privacy and compliance policies, template agreements, and other foundational resources to ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements in the US and globally; and (7) managing incident response matters in partnership with Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
