Job summary

Rudish Health is seeking an Interim Director of Plant Operations to provide leadership across Building Maintenance, Biomedical Services, and Hazardous Waste operations for a healthcare client. The role ensures safe, efficient facilities by directing engineering and maintenance functions and maintaining compliance with Life Safety Codes and CMS/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material and safety management experience required.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare facility regulations.
• 5 years’ management experience necessary. Healthcare facility experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and comfort with business strategy implementation, cost controls, productivity enhancement, and operating in a politically sensitive environment.
• College education in maintenance, or Technical Education in a building trade with State licensure is preferred.

Rudish Health is currently seeking an Interim Director of Plant Operations for a healthcare client. This position provides overall leadership and oversight for Building Maintenance, Biomedical Services, and Hazardous Waste operations. The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all Engineering and Maintenance functions to ensure the hospital's facilities, infrastructure, and grounds are maintained in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This includes ensuring adherence to Life Safety Codes and regulatory requirements, including CMS, OSHA, and applicable standards related to HVAC systems, medical equipment, electrical systems, and utility operations.

Position Summary

The Interim Director of Plant Operations will lead and develop Plant Operations managers and technical staff, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management while overseeing all departmental activities and services. Working collaboratively with leaders throughout the organization, this individual will partner on facility-related projects, safety initiatives, compliance efforts, and operational challenges to support a safe, functional, and high-performing healthcare environment.

Position Requirements

• Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material and safety management experience required. Professional licensure required.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare facility regulations
• 5 years’ management experience necessary. Healthcare facility experience preferred but not required.Excellent communication, team building skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
