Job summary

Amara Cay Resort in the Florida Keys is seeking an Interim People & Culture Manager to cover a one-year leave and ensure continuity of HR programs across Amara Cay, Three Waters Resort & Marina, and La Siesta Resort & Villas. The role is primarily based at Amara Cay and partners with resort leadership to uphold policies, training, leaves, workers’ compensation, and employee relations.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree (or 4 years' equivalent) with strong business communication,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
• Business communication skills.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Public speaking experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing software.
• One year's experience in service related field.
• Ability to deal with diversified workforce.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Type 55 wpm (corrected).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day People & Culture resource for Amara Cay Resort and related properties.
• Provide People & Culture support across Three Waters Resort & Marina, Amara Cay Resort, and La Siesta Resort & Villas, traveling between properties as needed.
• Oversee compliance and required training across all three resorts, including monitoring completion and records.
• Manage and track Leaves of Absence (LOA) across the resort collection with proper documentation.
• Coordinate Workers' Compensation administration for all three resorts, including injury reporting and follow-up.
• Support employee relations and workplace investigations with guidance and documentation.
• Support HR compliance and recordkeeping across all three properties.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, transfers, promotions, status changes, offboarding.
• Partner with leadership on engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives across the collection.
• Perform additional general People & Culture responsibilities as assigned.
