Job summary

RGP is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager for an interim consulting engagement in Canton, OH. This hands-on leader will oversee end-to-end payroll, supervise a team, ensure accuracy and compliance, and guide the function through a period of transition.

The role requires strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, taxes, garnishments, and SOX controls, with SAP and ADP experience. Onsite work in Canton with some travel and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll operations at a leadership level.
• Previous experience supervising payroll staff.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, taxes, garnishments, and compliance.
• Proficiency with SAP and ADP systems.
• Ability to operate independently in a transitional environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll operations and full payroll cycles.
• Supervise and support a team of Payroll Associates.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing per policies.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and address escalations.
• Manage payroll tax filings and related compliance.
• Oversee garnishments and wage-hour regulations.
• Support audits with necessary documentation.
• Maintain SOX alignment and internal controls.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to resolve issues.
