Job summary

Nazareth Living Care Center in El Paso, TX seeks an Interim Administrator to oversee daily operations of the skilled nursing facility in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license in the state.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Public Health Administration or Business Administration.
• 2 years of supervisory experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures.
• Ability to read financial records and clearly communicate policies and reports.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities per governing board guidelines.
• Assist directors with policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice.
• Ensure compliance by employees, residents, visitors, and the public with facility policies.
• Conduct daily staff meetings and regular facility inspections; formulate corrective actions as needed.
• Develop plans of correction for cited deficiencies; monitor timetables and effectiveness.
• Review workforce competence and make necessary adjustments; recruit and supervise staff and consultants.
• Counsel and discipline personnel as needed; liaise with department directors to improve services.
• Coordinate in-service training and orientation for staff; foster a warm, safe facility environment.
• Communicate with Medical Director regularly and report on incidents and risk management.
• Assist in budget planning, census goals, labor management, and expense control; monitor financial statements.
