Interim Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery Needed in New York, New York!

The Position

• An Interim Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery is needed to provide clinical and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery services at an acute care hospital in New York.
• Key responsibilities include overseeing daily departmental operations, supporting safe staffing practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality maternal and newborn care. This leader will focus on maintaining clinical standards, supporting frontline nursing staff, promoting patient safety, and ensuring operational stability throughout the interim assignment.
• The ideal candidate will be an experienced Labor & Delivery nursing leader with a confident, approachable, and hands‑on leadership style. This individual should excel at building relationships, supporting staff, and fostering a collaborative, team‑oriented environment. This leader must be highly organized, patient‑focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• BSN required.
• Active New York RN license required.
• Previous nursing leadership experience in Labor & Delivery or Women's Services strongly preferred.

Compensation Details

• Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
