Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligibility in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of assigned students.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Prepare for classes assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Diagnose learning challenges of students and maintain accurate records for IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss progress and collaborate with staff to resolve challenges.
